Well after dithering and reading a bunch on the Apex vs Reef Keeper debate (Ford vs. Chevy?) I stumbled across some users of the Reef Angel.  It's an open source controller with what seems like a pretty strong community supporting it.  The accessories seem to be competitively priced too.  I bought the Reef Angel plus which has more memory than the base model.  Both come with 8 switchable outlets, a temp probe, a pH probe and two float switches.  I also purchased the wifi expansion module.  I got it up and running yesterday and so with less than 24hrs runtime, I'm pretty impressed.

EDIT:  The above link is supposed to be a banner with my tank info but either this forum doesn't support them or I don't know what the heck I'm doing.  You can see it though if you click on it.

I'm using my ipod touch to monitor and control my tank.  How cool is that!  Just fed the coral so hit feed mode to shut off the PH's for an hour.  Using the portal on their website I have full access to it from anywhere with a browser and internet.  they keep 2 weeks of data for trending too.  Need to be logged in to your account to access.  More to follow.
